Bottle at Paul’s Hoboken Gathering: Pours a hazy golden with some floaties. Artificial berry aroma, a bit perfumy. Very artificial flavor. All I can articulate to describe it is perfumy and medicinal. Hard to get down.

22oz from MrBendo - thanks, Todd! A truly odd beer. Pours a very dusky amber, with lots of sentiment wrestling for space with the fairly lively carbonation. Decent head, not much retention. The aroma is almost saccharine, making me wonder if the fruits on which this thing was aged were fresh or synthetic somehow (no reason to doubt the brewer, but that’s the vibe I got from the aroma). Somehow I thought this was going to be more like a tripel, with modest fruit qualities, when it ended up being the inverse. Pleasant razz flavors dominate, like Founders Rubaeus, and there’s an alkie burn there for sure. There’s a dull, almost flat finish to the beer, and I felt that more hops and spice would really have benefited this brew. Finishes thin, borderline flat. A respectable experiment.

Good, but a little too alcoholic for me. Had a cherry flavor to it with a bitter finish. Very powerful and full bodied. Not too much complexity. Must be sipped very slowly to enjoy. NIce aroma

Very fruity, i wish they had lowered the alcohol a bit or found a way to mask it more... excellent label...

750mL bottle thanks to wcampbell. This poured a hazy reddish body with no head. The aroma is really fruity - all different kinds. The taste is almost like a more tame version of DFH Fort, but in a way better because I thought Fort was way to alcholic tasting. This is still 9.5% and you can still taste some alcohol, but its drinkable.

[1122-20080226] 1pt6floz (c/o biegaman, w/ him, blankboy, GregClow, HogTownHarry, jerc, mds). Fruity strawberry orange cherry aroma with a bit of sweet grains. Hazy, orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. More sweet sweaty cherry in the flavour with slightly bitter fruit pip notes. Medium body. Very strange brew, plus the label has so much going on in it you keep finding hidden things every time you pick it up.

22 oz. bottle at Flat Rock Saloon. Poured deep red with scant head. Astringent fruity aroma. Slight cherry/berry flavor with spicy finish. Bad beer and a waste of money.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 wj94 (69) - Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2008
Courtesy of sirpsycho via trade. Expected this to be a little more fruity than it was. Really tasted like a golden Belgian with a very slight hint of cherry and passion fruit, bit of a spicy finish. This was ok, but very ordinary. I like fruit beers a good bit but I don’t think this one lives up to its counterparts. Always good to try some new ones though!

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, biegaman, mabel, jerc & mds - courtesy of biegaman. Agreed with Paul on the label - that’s pretty fucked up right there. Good thing that the beer is decent. Hazy reddish-gold colour. Aroma is sweet and Belgian-ish, with some tart berry notes and a bit of spice. Flavour is surprisingly nice - the fruit complements the spicy, malty beer very well. Looked very gimmicky to me, so I was quite impressed by the contents.

22oz Bottle slightly cloudy amber body light head, pleasant fruity aroma. Sweet fruity melange followed by decent malt presence with a hint of spice reminiscent of a Belgian ale. Slightly bitter finish that cleansed the palate and practically no presence of alcohol in the flavor.
