2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
20th February 2009
Cloudy orange brown beer. Slightly sour dry malt. Faint morello cherry, a little raspberry. Smooth dry finish. An undertone of brandy and passion fruit. A fairly unique beer but slightly odd as well.

Taste is metallic, tart, artificial syrupy fruit-raspberry/cherry, light malt/wheat, herbal/spice hops, lots of yeast. Aroma was close but not quite. Taste not even close. Bottle. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head, good retention and fair lacing. Aroma is raspberry, cherry, and passion fruit dominant with some light grainy malt. Flavor is merely identical to the aroma, with a more malt focus. Light body, creamy texture, and average carbonation.

Bottle… Hazy yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Lengthy, tight retention. The aroma is of canned corn, biscuit, lots of berries and tropical fruit. Medium to full-bodied, a touch oily and very fizzy. Sweet, corny flavor. Finishes sweet and grainy. Bottle courtesy of dmschefke!

22oz bottle. Poured a medium orangish / amber color with a small sized white head. Aromas of fruitiness, yeast, and berries. Tastes of berries, tropical fruits, caramel, and citrus. I don’t know if I like the label or if I’m scared of it!

Blech. Amber pour. Aroma of artificial fruit and crappy ass medicine. Flavor is the same. Man this sucked.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle pours cloudy ruby red grapefruit with a small, filmy white head. Nose is almost pure passion fruit, mango and grapefruit juice. Heavy, pure grapefruit juice in the nose. Flavor is mellow grapefruit, mango and passion fruit, heavy body, obviously 9+%. Very fruity, perfume heavy tropical notes. Nice but still boozy.

750mL. Definitely not a lambic as indicated in the label. The pour is a clear orange amber with a small white head. Okay retention and little webby lace. Aroma is heavily sweet cherry pie, homemade cherry tart, baked cherries. Rich and full for fruit beer. Taste is metallic, heavy sweetness, heavy old candies, candy corn, sickly sweetness. Insanely cloying and heavy fusel alcohol. Pretty poor.
