3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks to Lunch for gifting me this bottle. Served in a SAVOR wine glass.
A: Pours a cloudy light copper color with a few bubbles on top after a hard pour. Thereís a thin white collar with small bubbles around the edges, but thatís about all it gets.
S: The nose brings some faint stone fruits along with a bit of white pepper. Behind that is a touch of caramel and a bready malt base.
T: The flavor is wholly different from the nose, as thereís an abundance of fruit, at least compared to the nose, where there was only a faint whiff of fruitness. Here comes a bit of cherry and raspberry along with a faint black-plum presence in the background. A touch medicinal on the back end, though that aspect is fairly mellow.
M: Medium body with low-to-moderate carbonation and a bit of alcohol. Light fruity sweetness lingers in the background, heading to a finish that is surprisingly crisp. A bit of alcohol in the background, but nothing that wouldnít be expected from a brew of this strength.
O: Pretty good. I enjoyed this quite a bit more than I expected to. The fruity elements to the flavor are quite nice, and the feel really rounds things out. Thanks again, Paul.

At Voodoo. Poured hazy dirty orange color with slight white head. Slight fruity aroma. Fruit defiantly comes out in the taste which is quite smooth. A nice blend.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Food and Friends
Pours a hazy medium gold color with a decent sized off white head that persists for a while. While there was no huge pop when I opened it, it did try to self pour out of the bottle. The aroma is lightly non descript fruit with a solid caramel malty back with lots of clove and other spices. I had to edit this a little, because as this warms the raspberries and cherries really come out in the nose. The flavor is caramel prune and yeasty spice for the most part. The fruit flavor of raspberry and cherry are subtle but the tartness shines through pretty well. A hint of alcohol and a prominent orange marmalade thing round out the flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Decent beer, but overall I feel that flavors are competing here rather than complimenting each other.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into a tulip.
4.0 A: Murky peach amber color. Frothy off-white head with good retention for the ABV and some whisps of lacing.
4.25 S: The tripel and the fruits blend very well together. Lots of corriander with clove and pepper spice underneath. The cherry, raspberry, and passion fruit are potent enough to matter, but still let the tripel through. Wheaty hay and apple from the base beer. Fairly simple, but powerful and well balanced, especially for a fruit beer. Alcohol is well hidden.
3.75 T: Taste is like the nose. Pleasant tripel flavors meet a triad of fruitiness. Strong corriander with clove and pepper undertones. Apple and peach fruitiness from the tripel. Hay and grassy earthiness. The cherry, raspberry, and passion fruit are strong enough to not have a watered down taste. Quite nice.
4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Moderately spritzy and supremely smooth. Good here. Booze isnít noticeable at all.
4.0 D: Another winner from Voodoo. All they seem to make is great beer.

Yellow-gold with a swirl of amber gold. The passion flower hits the nose and the depth and complexity is fantastic. This is a crisp beer with great notes throughout.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber. Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. An odd fruity nose, lots of pear. The flavor is crisp, tripel yeast, fruity, dry at times, pear, sake, passionfruit, no tartness, finishes clean and tasty.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep gold, hazy, off-white head. Malty-sweet with some caramel, big fruit character of raspberries as expected, but also pears, some spicy phenols, a little warming alcohol.
