3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
4th April 2009
Hazy gold beer, frothy white head. Palate seems a little soft for the style but I like it. Starts with a sweet fruitiness but then some bittering hops kick in. These run through to the crisp finish and beyond providing a bitter aftertaste. Unusual mix of sweet and bitter.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour is a hazed golden orange color with almost no head; just a thin ring of white foam.
S: There is a pronounced sweetness to the aroma which is consists mostly of apples. A fair amount of malt and bread to it with a light yeastiness and some floral hop notes. There is a bit of biscuit malt that comes through on the back end.
T: Floral and spicy hops with a slight bitterness to it and some grass. Green apple peels and a mild sweetness. There is sort of an aspirin aftertaste to it, unfortunately. Some light citrus notes come through, too.
M: Light to medium in body with a low to medium level of carbonation.
O: The aroma was quite nice, but the flavor fell short, especially with the bitterness and aspirin notes.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very complex "lager." Orange amber pour. Pilsnerish nose. The taste is in three distinct stages: Initial peppermint spice followed by bitter hops, orange peel and barley and an extremely long sour mash malty finish. This is one you’ll either love or hate.

(22oz bottle, thanks acrdz) Crystal clear apple juice body with small white head. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, some spice/grass, light honey, melon. Taste is moderately sweet, grassy, melon, some alcohol, honey. Sticky medium-full body. Strikes me as an Imperial Pils, and a pretty good one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle… GSRARO Throwdown… Cloudy, light yellow lager with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Excellent retention. Sweet, grainy aroma - lots of pale and medium roast malts, mead and honey with a supporting cast of vanilla and spicy hops. Medium to full-bodied and lightly creamy with humble carbonation. More bitter than sweet, although there are some very nice pale malt characteristics. Acerbic, tannic hops provide ample bitterness for a true pilsner experience. Mid-length, bitter finish with only a whisper of acidity. Kudos to GodOfThunder for sharing the bottle!
