Strong white peper aroma and flavor balanced my juiciness, mainly of orange. Different take on a white, but nice.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a large creamy white head that lats a long time and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is dusty, belgian yeast, fresh mowed field grass, coriander. Flavor is light sweet, little bitterness, tons of Belgian yeast esters, clove, coriander. Way high carbonation - let it breath a bit before drinking. Not bad, but not really my think either.

Transfer from BA review on 7-12-13- Poured from bottle into a wiezen glass Appearance – The beer pours from the bottle as a lightly hazed orange-amber color with a one-half finger white head composed of lots of fizzy bubbles. The head fades very fast leaving very little lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heavy of a grainy wheat smell mixed with citrus of orange and light lemon smell. Some other aromas of clove and coriander are mixed in there as well along with a light grassy and haylike aroma. Taste – The taste begins with a smoother wheat flavor upfront, but grows more and more grainy in taste as the flavor advances. Upfront there is also a citrus flavor of orange which grows stronger to the middle of the taste only to fade at the end and be replaced by a more lemon citrus flavor. All the while a yeasty taste grows stronger in flavor from the beginning, bringing with it some spice of coriander and clove. The coriander gets rather strong at the end with it being joined by some pepper and a hay flavor, leaving a slightly dry, grainy and gritty taste on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite thin with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. Both the thinner body and the higher carbonation are good for the style and make for a more refreshing feel. Overall – This is a decent wit, but the flavor left on the tongue is a little bit off at the end. If you like a wit that is a little more grainy then this you may like, otherwise if looking for something with more smoothness then you may want to pass it up.

On tap at the brewpub, served in a tasting glass. Pours hazy golden with a small white head that fades to a thin rim of bubbles and leaves no lace. The nose has spicy notes of coriander, orange peel, subtle banana and wheat. The flavour is moderately sweet with banana, pale fruit, coriander, grape, honey and pale malt. Pepper and spice come through in the middle and build to the finish which is long and quite peppery. On the palate it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a decent spiced Belgian wheat ale. Pepper is present in just the right proportion and makes for a nice finish. 2014-04-26

The beer has a nice hazy orange color to it with an okay white head that didn’t last long and had no lacing. Also caught the bottom of my bottle and had some sediment floating around. The smell is a nice sweet orange citrusy smell with a mild spiciness smell on the back end. The taste is very good with a strong orange, citrus flavor that follows with a powerful lingering spicey flavor, very nice. The mouthfeel has a mild bitterness from the citrus and spices but fades away fairly quickly. Overall, a great witbier that is perfect for the summer (and my wife).

22oz bottle. Pours a clear orange golden with a thin white head that goes down quickly. Aroma of citrus orange, spices, slightly earthy yeast, and a sweet undercurrent. Taste opens with a honey sweet but primarily herbal fruity flavor, with juniper berries and coriander complementing the orange; the peppercorn spice and yeasty flavors build by mid-palate; after the swallow, the more mellow orange herbal and sweet flavors return until a sharp peppery finish. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
