jredmond (621), New Jersey, USA Mar 20, 2008 Bottle. It pours a clear orange body with yeast particles floating around. The aroma reminds me of Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat. There is a strong presence of berries - the bottle says they are juniper berries. The taste is very good, slightly dry finish.
sirpsycho (190), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber/orange, no real head to speak of. Aroma is orange, juniper, light spices, a little soapy. Flavor is juniper, pepper, very slight touch of citrus. Strange Wit, very odd and unique. acrdz (4373), Boulder, Colorado, USA Sep 3, 2008 Barf. This stuff is gross. Looks like it’s been lightly filtered, a sin for witbier if it’s true. Smells and tastes like soapy juniper and gin with some fabric softener and ethanol. Slimy, silky body, where’s the fruit and where’s the clove? Blah. Is that a good enough review? I realize it’s only about 1/5th of what I should write, but I could only drink 1/5th of the bottle. lilannie (381), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 24, 2008 Aroma: orange peel, coriander, some light hops, and yeast
Appearance: slightly hazy, goldish
Flavor: this is nice. orange peel, coriander, some light hops, peppery
Palate: smooth, filling
Overall: had with moderately spiced Indian food. Complemented well, not as well as say a hoppy IPA, but it was hoppy enough to work well. adrian910ss (1032), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 31, 2008 22 oz bomber. Pours a hazy honey gold with a medium white head. Aroma of orange peel, coriander, yeast and berries. Taste of light coriander, orange peel and a hint of berry. GuilTTy (459), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Light sunflower and hazy pour under a thin white head with short retention. Lots of close and yeast in the aroma. Flavor of sour apples, lemon zest and funky barnyard dust. Thin texture but a crisp finish. This voodoo magic isn’t the good kind.
