Poured almost black with a loose khaki head. An alcohol roasted malt flavor with a touch of chocolate make the nose. The palate consists of heavily roasted mouth sweetness and the sting of alcohol. The finish is rich and smooth.

Cloudy dark brown, 1 finger tan head. creamy lactose aroma, sweet, licorice and cinnamon. mmm, this is well done. creamy finish, lactose sugar for sure. a robustness of it that hits you nice but then falls flat at the end. I get some christmas spice but at the end of a day it ’s a brown ale, although a very well done one

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Drank from a pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Has nice aroma of toasted caramel. Nice cloudy, brown color, with a bit of tan head. Taste is crisp and smooth, but still a thin body to a unfiltered brew. Not a bad brown ale! Label does say "exclusively with Warrior."

Palate - full bodied, texture is creamy, the carbonation is average, and the finish slight roast astringency.

Bomber [happy birthday, Beethoven!]. Nose of crystal malt, earth, wood, molasses, maple syrup, chocolate, slight alcohol, slightly toasty. Pours ultra-dark blood red with a large foamy tan head. Light-medium body quite nicely malt, light bitterness and restrained sweetness (actually, I’d call it semi-dry without hop involvement) with cherry and lots of red berry, smooth roast and light-medium chocolate. Some nuttier notes to compliment the light wood and faint earth, faint raisin. Everything melds together well! Bitter and woody tones mesh super well in the aftertaste, best of CTZ and Northern Brewer without any of the minimal drawbacks. Fruitiness also a very nice, strong counterpoint, though it dulls itself somewhat into the generic with volume; faint peach under the berry, bare flashes of citrus here and there. No alcohol in the mouth, clean and creamy-soft as if oats were used, silky/velvety-smooth the whole way. Strikingly gorgeous finish and aftertaste, rising smooth ash/toast. Love this beer, tremendous balance and interplay, and quite moreish. I’d originally scored this a 3.8, but drinkability is a huge plus worthy of the bonus. [2015.12.16: 4.3]
Looks like age might be a factor here; some folks below report all roast and no fruit, but I think I’ve had one in reverse.
