bottle. Thank you MoritzF! Golden colour, large head. Malty with hints of rasted malts and a touch of smoke. Has its very own character - very pleasant.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Pours a clear, deep golden - a lot darker than your typical Dortmunder - with a small, white head. Very lively carbonation, this works itself out of the bottle. Fruity, malty nose. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel, clean and malty with a vague, caramelish touch and a metallic edge. The finish is dry and hoppy. Good German quality. 180507

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Herbal aroma with some caramel malts. Light brown to amber, beige head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, very herbal and malty. Little sticky with a dry finish. It’s more like an Alt than a Dunkel Export as the brewer says but I still like it a lot.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
nice amber color. Malty, some sweetness , caramel, slight hops in the aftertaste, decent brew, but nothing great, drinkable. Thanks to MoritzF for the bottle!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(33cl bottle, bought at the brewery) Clear, amber colour with a foamy, slightly off-white medium head. Moderately sweet malty, slightly toasted aroma with notes of honey and shades of toffee. Light-sweet, light bodied with a medium carbonation. Slim malty taste, slightly toasted with light notes of toffee, dry, very light bitter finish with a tinge of spicy hops and metal. Looks and smells good but the rest is pretty disappointing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Dortmunder: thanks! Malt and caramel in the aroma. Malty, sweetish flavor with grapes, caramel, just a touch of hops and licorice. Tasty and likeable, but perhaps too soft to make a real impression.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy amber, low creamy head.
Tofee and dusty metallic bitterhop aroma.
Caramelly and somewhat dusty notes - somehow reminds me of bottled british beer.
Thanks to Dortmunder for this one.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
An amber coloured brew, malty and a bit alcoholic nose, thin bodied, only a slight maltiness, metallic flavour, little hints of hops, nearly no existant aftertaste.....
This beer is a big disappointment, because the name "Vorder" makes the conoisseur think, that this beer is made only from the best parts of the wort ("Vorderwürze"); so the expectations are great.....and the result is weak !
