Pours a hazy, light brown. Malty and sweet on the nose but not real heavy at all. Weird flavor; sweet and bitter mixed together battling for possession of your palate, it’s a bit rough. Lots of alcohol on the finish with a bit of sweetness. I think I can find better for my money.

Sampled at Beaumont Market in Portland, OR--Poured a thin amber body with a small beige head. Malty mild and fruity. Unique, but hey, that’s the French.

bottle. Clear amber colour, tiny head, fery fruity nose with hints of apples. Slightly malty, flavours of apple and apricot, very fruity. Overall dry and hoppy, rather light-bodied for 8% ABV.

This amber ale poured with a tiny off-white head and a strange unidentifiable aroma. There is a malty flavor with an herbal apricot undertone. Strange but pretty good.

Beer poured amber with only a very slight haze. Aroma has some abricot to it most prominately. Otherwise it smells malty and sweetly fruity. Flavor is maltiness, similar malt accenting yeast character to some malty bitters I had in england. The beer really doesn’t show its strength for being 8%. Level of carbonation is really low and slightly too soft making the malt character in the finish overwhelming and slightly undigestable. Finish is not good, but the beer isn’t altogether awful.
