Tap. A firm light brown head - fantastically dark. Roasted nuts, dry fruits, a bit of hops. A completely outstandingly rich and well-balanced brown ale!

Dark brown, tanned head. Smell of nuts, caramel, hints of roast. Moderate sweet, hints of nuts and raisins, some roast, quite dry. Ok stuff for a brown ale

MartinT (7952) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 9, 2014
My Bottom Line:
Nut skins, earthiness and herbal bitterness coalesce in this slender Brown Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the clear reddish-brown.
-Drinkability is very high for the style.
-Malts are clearly expressed, which I love.
-Mouthfeel is drier than expected.

On tap at the brewery.

On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A clear, brown beer with a small, beige head. Roasted nose, coffee-ish, with dark berries, a faint licorice touch and some nuttyness. It’s fruity on the palate, with dried fruits, coffee hints and some nuts. Dry on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated. An esy drinkable one, quite nice too, but nothing extraordinary going on. 131019

On tap @ Bergen Ølfestival. This is a deep dark Cola brown one with a nice medium sized lasting and lacing brown top. Then fist nose inhale gives me stable style grains. Wheaty grains actually. Also it has a nice round chocolate aroma with nuances of fresh hops, sticky caramel and lots of sweet cocoa powder. A bit like nesquick. Mmmh.. Lovely flavor on this! Lots of chocolate milky goodness, balanced out with a nice not to rough or extreme hop profile. I get a good amount of salty fatty coffee peanuts also in here. So lightdrinkable that it’s almost a bit scary. A clear favorite from this exciting new brewer. I already want more. 07.09.2013
