Now sold as "Soixante Neuf" - Hazy dark blond. Yeasty aroma. Flavour has quite a lot of malt, candy sweetness and a yeasty edge.

As Soixante-Neuf, bottle 33cl. Cloudy with floaties, yellow golden color, big frothy white head, recedes slowly, substantial layer remains; aroma sweet malts, grainy, banana, orange, yeasty, slightly sour; taste moderate sweet, slightly bitter, fruity sour undertones; medium body, oily to sticky texture, lively carbonation; finish fresh and light bittersweet, grassy, earthy. Not bad at all but a beer without direction.

Special ale with snow white head, quickly decreasing, and deep peach blonde colour, hazy. Noble and perfumed aroma of marzipan, bread, cinnamon, cognac, apple peel, orange liqueur. Fruity taste, a bit one-dimensional compared to the promising aroma, sweetish, bit thin mouthfeel, aromatic and spicy, finishing in dryish, grassy hops. Love the aroma, the taste is a whole lot less satisfying.

Net zoals de "van acht" een bier met iets te weinig smaak aan voor mij persoonlijk

37,5cl corked bottle, lots of sediment. Golden ale, slightly cloudy, white foamy head. Malts, a pinch of fruitiness (banana mainly), some honey and a little sour tone. Thin aroma and taste, but pleasant mouthfeel, medium carbonation. No complexity, but easily drinkable and for a good cause...

Mild fruity aroma. Good looking bottle, always nice to hear the sound of opening an cork bottle. Poured it out all the way, quite a lot of yeast in it. Nice head. Taste lightly citrus, not very bitter or sweet at all, actually quite sour. Not bad, but nothing special. Ah well, it’s for the benefit of a good cause...

(bottle, 37.5cl, brewed by Hof ten Dormaal says the label) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and huge foamy head. Dusty and mildly bready malty aroma with notes of wheat and wort, as well as fruity esters of banana and citrus. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Juicy malty and slightly wheaty taste with fruity notes of banana, peach and a tinge of citrus, accompanied by yeasty spice; sweet and slightly sticky finish. Smells and tastes a bit unripe. 01.IX.13
