2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 harrisoni (9614) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2009 At Chriso’s pre GBBF tasting 09. Yes, my palate was tired, yes it was late, but this was still not a very good lager. 1.5/5 Re-rate as Co op Czech Lager. I like it. Decent pils, not wonderful but does me on the train ride home from Folkestone to Ashford. Refreshing and has sufficient bite on the finish. Fine

50cl bottle from local Co-Op. Seems to be identical to the Vratislav Premium sold at Tescos - I even managed to pick up bottles with the same batch number. Straw with a fast fading white head; fresh, grassy aroma; some grain and honey flavour but rather thin and watery; green hops to finish. Very drinkable. Earlier Rating: 4/24/2009 Total Score: 2.7 50cl bottle from Tesco. Straw with a fast fading white head; fresh, grassy aroma; some grain and honey flavour but rather thin and watery; green hops to finish. Very drinkable.
