Really poor aroma. Taste is somewhat bitter with some crisp hop but a soapy finish makes this way below average for a Bohemian pils.

Bottle. Pale golden beer with medium frothy head. Slight metalic aroma. Taste is a little metalic and sweet with some grains. Low carbonation. Average for a Bohemian pilsner.

This lager has some taste and I always like a couple of lagers in the house for when I’m in the mood and this one fits the bill as an ok supermarket lager at good price

500ml bottle. Poured a lively orange colour with a loose, bubbly & fading white head. Grain, citric hop, corn, caramel all with a metallic edge. Medium carbonation, light body, short grassy, pithy bitterness - moderate length finish for the style.

Bottle. Clear gold with a fluffy head. Run of the mill Czech lager - grassy hops and bready yeast with a dry finish. Decent lager.

5%ABV: 50cl Brown bottle, best before Aug 2008, drank Sept 2007. Good looking lager, typical Czech pilsner colour. No aroma, just like most golden pilsner/lager beers. Fine flavours of a good quality pilsner. Nothing special about this beer except the keen price and the front label which tells me it is selected for Tesco. Good value summer beer.
