Recht süffig, leicht nussig - ehrlich in Ordnung.

50cl fliptop, BB (!) 08/04/2014, from Edeka Mohr, Bonn 02/2014. Pours a lovely opaque chocolate brown with beige head, but pretty watery. Some roast and acidity in the nose does not prepare for the full-fledged lambic zest this packs: 2nd Vulkan bottle gone sour, this one even 2 months before BB date. Oddly this enhances the flavour, turning what must have been a rather thin and toffee/roast flavoured Dunkel into an interesting and refreshing effervescent sour porter with a quick and dry cocoa finish, pretty close I had a pour of Girardin lambic in a bland cocoa porter at a festival, down to tye old hop aftertaste. Overall rating reflects beers from this brewery going sour, not how tasty this ¿accident? turned out to be (14)...
