Beerlando (1999), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 30, 2009 From the bottle pours a very lightly hazy, medium golden amber colored body. A small head of off-white foam quickly runs away and hides, leaving just a glassy surface with zero lacing. The aroma is far from good, showing off, salty vegetable notes reminiscent of Vegemite. There’s a medicinal, herbal component that doesn’t fit, with faint, underlying citrus notes attempting to climb out from under the mess. The flavor is not much better, oddly sour and medicinal, with weird smoky notes and more of that dreaded Vegemite. Thin bodied and a little vinegary, even the palate sucks. Basically a drain pour for me. Briny, yeasty, vegetal, and just not any good. daniele (1364), Italy May 21, 2009 oro schium abbondante ma grossolana peristenza discreta nte leggermente agrumate poco speziate un po acidule in bocca un attacco legermente dolce poi un po di speziatura porterhouse (1099), Alna, Maine, USA Mar 2, 2009 (330 ml bottle from Belfast Co-op) Pours slightly cloudy yellow with a tall off-white head in a weizen glass. Aroma of spice, yeast, wheat malt and citrus. Mouthfeel is light-medium full with a wheaty smoothness. Flavor is lightly spicy with light citrus over a wheaty malt and lightly yeasty base. Maybe a light tinge of sourness and hint of pencil shavings (coriander). Quite drinkable and tasty however. I like the nice short name. darn1207 (467), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Feb 26, 2009 12oz bottle from Lynne and Wilkes. hazy gold color. aroma is a little off. dough, yeast and spice. taste is better - light citrus, spices, wheat and yeast. tingly medium texture. bhensonb (3757), Woodland, California, USA Feb 26, 2009 Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Hazy golden color with an ephemeral white head. Aroma of citrus with an accompanying note of barnyard. Near medium body with moderate carbonation. Flavor is rather orange citrus with subtle spices and mild funk. Crisp and clean. Finishes astringently dry. Very refreshing wit. Strykzone (1331), Wood River, Illinois, USA Feb 20, 2009 Lightly cloudy golded with a small white head. Carbonation clings to the glass. Aroma is funky and fruity and a bit sour. That also describes the flavor. There is some orange but nothing distinct or interesting. This could be a wheat ale. joeyplush (274), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 8, 2009 Vuuve bottle at Belgian Cafe Philly.

TeamTrappist (275), jericho, New York, USA Feb 3, 2009 Tap at Sunswick. Poured a cloudy blond. Nose was lemon and yeasty. Pretty thin mouthful lead to a wheaty, fruity, and spicy ale. I didn’t realize it was a wheat until I tasted it, not my favorite style, found this one to be ok, not great.
