Hansen (2235), Randers, Denmark Jul 14, 2006 Colour is orange, unclear, cloudy. Aroma has citrus, orange, lemon. Heavy hopped. Sour, acetic, flav ?? thornecb (1736), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jul 3, 2006 Pours with a very slight golden haze into a tumbler with no head. Sour orange notes. Almost flat, very slight fizz, if anything. Sour lemon with a quick finish. The flemish sour of wit beers. Certainly unique. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 2, 2006 Slightly hazy white with a thin white head. Aroma of spice, orange, and some funk. Spiced flavor, lots of orange, with hints of tea. Quite fizzy. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 23, 2006 Floral pineapple aroma, some vanilla, some orange creme. Lousy label, average hazy yellow-orange I hate these stubby little Belgian bottles. Tart, a bit bitter, not too sweet, yeasty. Medium body, orange peel finish. Fair to midline. ROGUE (621), Newark, Delaware, USA Jun 20, 2006 great belgian witbier. cloudy light orange color with a thinhead. low carbonation. the initial citrus flavor and spiced (pumpkin pie ish) finish were evenly balanced and not overwhelming. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 17, 2006 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with lots of bubbles and an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of slightly tart citrus fruit, spices and yeast. Flavour’s like a tart citric wheat beer with some spices and a mild bitterness in the finish. Thin, watery body. This is average and not something I’m likely to get again but It’s different so that has to count for something. skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 13, 2006 11.2 oz bottle into a Weizen glass. Pours a golden color with a slight orangish hue. Something very interesting about the pour of this brew is that the bottom is quite clear, almost see-through, while the top is quite cloudy. Almost no head on this one. Aroma consists of a Belgian yeast mixed in with sweet oranges and lemon, with a touch of spice on the nose. Flavor brings out a zesty lemon taste on first sip, moving into an orangey coriander and slightly hoppy taste as it slides down the palate for a more tart finish. Definitely a bit different from most wit biers, I personally enjoyed the experience.
