3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Crosling (1861) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - AUG 12, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 13, 2005 Cloudy early autumn leaves in color with a large and long lasting white colored foam. Fresh coriander, but predominantly orange peel spicing in the aroma, which when put together smells like bitter tang. Enjoyable yeast character, which I have come to expect from this brewery, but the orange peel addition was too much for me and what makes it worse is that it’s bitter orange peel, not sweet orange peel. So it makes for an overwhelming bitter tang flavor, without much to balance it out.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 dwyerpg (3462) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - AUG 11, 2005
Smells like orange peel and zestiness. Also, the orange peel flavoring is very evident, more than any spice. I might like this beer even more if I was a big orange juice fan.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 marcus (3763) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 10, 2005
This orange-colored ale poured with no head whatsoever, eliciting a sour aroma. At first, I thought the beer had gone bad, since the flavor was flat with a bitter finish. After a few sips I started noticing citrus and spice flavors that were actually rather pleasant. This is a very unique brew that is probably not for everyone, but was interesting to me.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - JUL 30, 2005
Prety unimpressive looking at first, just a soft yellow with a slight haze. The aroma however really picks up the tempo. Real spicy and notes of tangerine, lemon and cinnamon. Flavor is rather similar, but with a noticable bitterness. It really comes off as a lightly spice, citrus sweet and decently malty offering. One really nice find.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ungstrup (22904) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 24, 2005
A hazy orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is very light and primarily of wheat. The flavor is sweet wheaty and somewhat acidic.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pernille (518) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2005
Yellow color. Hazy, no head. Flavor is: orange! Very unique. I’ve never tasted anything like this. (And isn’t that what this is all about?) Very fresh. Very weird.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very orangey golden with a very small head. Incredibly fresh citrusy nose - or orange nose to be precise. Very sourish orange flavours and fresh, perfumy notes of coriander. No malt at all. 180705
