Pours a slightly hazy dark golden with a thin white head that dissipates quickly into nothing. Aroma is wet straw, slightly sweet malt, sour, ripe fruit, hints of spice and honey. Flavor is surprising for a witbier -- sweet and malty with a tartness that smacks the palate. Mouthfeel is generally watery with a quick, somewhat dry finish. Not typical for the style, but interesting. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA

Quite a smack of tartness in the finish is unusual for the style. Pours a slight hazy golden color with a thin quickly receding head. Aroma smacks of orange and feet. Mouthfeel is thin with a dry finish. Coriander is underplayed. Forget about this and reach for a Hoegarden. badgerben (3596), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Pour is hazy orange yellow, initial one inch white head falls really fast with crackling carbonation bubbles. Aroma of citrus lemons. Some sourness. Taste is really citrusy and spicy (coriander and cloves). The citrus is equal parts lemon and lime. Wheat character comes through in taste. A bit of menthol in the finish. Palate is thin, with very fizzy carbonation. Overall, meh. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Oddly strange beer. I believe this is what Busch was trying to do with Shock Top. This belgian white is excellent on a hot day and is still very enjoyable after 5 or 6. Go out and try it, if you can find it. yespr (12020), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Citrus fruity aroma, mild spiced. Initial flavour is citrusy to orange fruity. Mild spice flavour beneath can be sensed, but that’s about it. Quite fresh and fruity finish. Quite drinkable yet nothing outstanding. fonefan (11090), VestJylland, Denmark
