Bottle. Cloudy, ruddy orange color with not much head. Aroma of orange peel, honey, coriander, and spice. Taste is moderately sweet to start, with a lot of tart citrus character that lasts through the finish. Moderately thick palate. Pretty straightforward wit, perhaps a bit tarter than most.

Bottle Eulogy in Olde City Philadelphia-Poured a light golden yellow coloring. Aroma and flavorings were sweet fruity flavors with average malts and hops. Not as enjoyable as most belgians.

I thought this was a decidedly average witbier, and doesn’t stand up well to a Wittekerke or a Hoegaarden. It pours a hazy yellow with tiny bubbles in its head (which did not stick around for long). Aroma was a lemon-y scent that reminded me of Lemonheads candy. Flavor was a tart Lemonhead flavor (more the outside of the Lemonhead rather than the super-sour core) with some spiciness, but a spiciness that was hard to place as it wasn’t coriander, clove-y, or pepper. Mouthfeel was a bit chalky. I thought this was OK, but nothing special.

Bottled. Poured a murky, milky pale yellow with a short-lived cap of white head and large, sticky bubbles on the sides of the glass. The aroma was quite nice.. lemon peel, orange, and coriander accent a softer wheat and banana sweetness at the core.. definite hints of sourness, but intriguing. The flavor had a bunch more dry sourness, which detracted a notch (lemon and orange peel-related).. dry wheat and some lemon sweetness at the core, and coriander sticking through the finish.. not half bad. Lighter-bodied and rather sour on the palate with pleasant, peppery spices on the finish. OK.

Pours a hazy pale thick gold. The head is thick, fizzy and white. Sweet musty aroma, sour, spice, the orange is extremely apparent. the flavor is sweet, definite orange peel, musty, sour, spicy. Palate is crisp, smooth in carbonation. Finishes with mandarin oranges at the back of the mouth.

Rated 10.6.07 - Spicy aroma. Stange pour for a witbier. Pee colored with sudsy head small white head, no bubbles. Flavor is sweet and sour malt with coriander. Very fruity. Palate is gross, like sparkling apple juice, big bubbles. 7.2.4.1.7 [Rerate - 2.3.09] Pours a murky thin looking dull golden orange with a large white sudsy foamy head. Spicy aroma, lots of coriander, touch of vanilla & orange peel, sour wet malts. Tastes slightly hot, gritty wheat, lightly creamy, super spiced with sweet malty orange underneath and a bitter orange peel light hop vitamin-C chalky finish. Not quite as I remember it, however, just as odd. Weird mix of creamy and sharp soda carbonation, a sugary feeling. 6.3.6.3.12

Bottle. Tastes like a funky triple without the body from the alcohol. Not bad, a little less funkiness and more bitterness would go a long way. Straw colored pour. Decent on the palate, a little oily maybe. I’d have it again.
