Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 24, 2005 A hazy orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is very light and primarily of wheat. The flavor is sweet wheaty and somewhat acidic. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 20, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Very orangey golden with a very small head. Incredibly fresh citrusy nose - or orange nose to be precise. Very sourish orange flavours and fresh, perfumy notes of coriander. No malt at all. 180705 Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 16, 2002 Shimmering light tan; aroma of coriander, biscuits, celery, lemon, leather and slight phenols. Very malty, dry palate with more leathr, coriander flavours are like chewing the stuff, bitter lemon rind in there as well, with a fair bit of styrians in the finish and some yeasty firmness. Interesting, assertive character. yespr (6373), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a bubbly, white and shortlived head. Citrus fruity aroma, mild spiced. Initial flavour is citrusy to orange fruity. Mild spice flavour beneath can be sensed, but that’s about it. Quite fresh and fruity finish. Quite drinkable yet nothing outstanding. joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 24, 2005 Bottled at DBF 2005.
Clear yellow coloured with a small head.
Acidic fruity aroma with spicy notes.
Acidic flavour with notes of spices and berries.
Tastes more like a gueuze than a witbier.
