3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. A pale malt base crowned with a layer of hops, smelling of citrus, peach and a whiff of lychee. There is also a Czech hoppy herbal note that dominates flavourwise and tastewise (the bitterness). In effect it tastes like a light fruity Czech pils, while the combination of fruity and herbal notes in the finish bears some similarity to Kofola. Not ’true to style’ (yawn...) but likeable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16/04 A 0.355 l bottle, courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured a clear amber-copper body with small head. Weak caramel and a bit of herbal hops aroma. Fine, pretty decent fruity flavor, on the sweet side, with only a little bit of herbal hop bitterness. Medium bodied with shorter vanilla finish. A weak and light, but cute ale that is alright and refreshing, but again another absolute misinterpretation of the style.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
355cl bottle, courtesy of Cuso. Interesting case, comes in a cheapish looking clear glass bottle with dated luna park of a label. Definitely not an IPA, but pleasant as a stronger-hopped Czech lager. Rather flat, hence not much foam or life. Caramel notes, good earthy hops spice and pepper. Body and mf of a CZ lager, or mild ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 355ml. -from Pivo, Budapest. Clear amber coloured, small off-white head, cardboard with hint of hops in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and some spicy hoppy taste with slight watery finish. Not the best Czech IPA that I’ve tried but somehow interesting.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Ogi got this in Hungary. Poured a clear dark amber body. Cardboardy malty grainy nose, nicely sweetish. Light fruity malty sweetish taste, some aroma hops, yeah, but the beer lacks bitterness if it wants to be an ipa. Very, very light carrot. Hmmm... Tastes more like a lager of sorts than an ale, but ok. It’s not a bad beer as such, only strange for the style.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Amber, almost brown, clear body with low head. Soap aroma, not plaisant at all. Taste is very sweet, almost like candies - a lot of unfermented sugar. Highly oxidized. Body is full, fair carbonation.
