COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
12% light beer of Pilsner type with an average 5,0% vol. proof that is being paid increased attention in respect to technology and raw materials selection during the production process. The maturing process in lager cellars lasts 60 days at low temperatures. This is a medium-bodied bier with medium to strong crisp flavour, soft bitterness and light amber colour. The bier contains the highest amount of hops. The bitter flavour of hops supports appetite. We advice serving at temperatures 8-10°C.

LIghtly hazed golden liquid. Quite bubbly. Moderate, fluffly, of-white head. Aromas of sweet dough and herbal hops. As the brew settles, the aromas of hearty malt, pale and toasted, come out more. Plenty of malt in the flavors. Herbal, slighlty grassy and lightly minty, hops come it to provide some diversion from the malt. Not as noble with the hops as I like but certainly there. A full flavored and balanced czech pils.

(12oz bottle) Fluffy, medium white head atop clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, light honey. Taste is medium sweet, bread/honey, some grassy/herbal. Light-medium body, low carbonation, quite drinkable. On the malty side for the style, but the hops do make an appearance.

What a difference a brown bottle makes. Most of these are in clear and green bottles and have awful aromas. This one was decent. Had the aroma of light malt and sweetness. Pour was a medium gold with a one finger white head. Taste was a little sweet with mostly light malt making a presence. No hop bite or even appearance. Could use a little more carbonation, but all in all pretty good.

Off aroma of pond water. Smells somewhat like Coors N/A. Pale yellow american lager look. A stronger more bitter pilsner, certainly does not lack personality. Can be oppressive at times. Comes off rather processed and slightly industrial. Medicinal finish that lingers for a while.

Semi golden pour with hints of amber. Flavor that is a slight sweet that fades into a bit of a bitter I don’t think is hops. There is malt there. It lacks the paperbag flavor that I find so unpleasant in the style the after taste almost reminds me of mild? Carbonation is good but it is a bit thin. Overall a very clean drinker nothing unpleasant at all about this beer.

Malty aroma, yellowish with a bit of white head. Initially creamy / malty tasty and satisfying. Draws you in on a warm Fall day, but then a metallic and wet old paper finish. Perhaps the bottle was older than it should be, I don’t know I just bought it. Then I saw the other reviews confirming this. A below par Czech but still worth trying if you admire the country, the style.

Orange, very small head. Very toasty, grainy aroma. Flavor is mellow grain and toast, as well, with a touch of bitterness at the end. Dryish finish.

Clear filtered golden yellow, small white head. Nose is straw, must, a bit of lemons. Not as crisp and assertive as i expected. Not as clean as I’d like, yeast charachter is nice. Decent, but I’m still waiting for the real deal.

Until I looked it up on Wikipedia, I thought the Belgiums drank the most beer. Turns out I was wrong and it’s the Czechs. Not bad too since I’m 12.5% Czech. So what are they drinking there? Poured a nice clear gold with a sizeable and thick head. This is a wonderful pils. The aroma is a little light but the flavor is very crisp and medium bodied. There is a good deal of hops and malt int he flavor. The finish is where the flavor really shines after about 15 seconds. The bitterness really works in the beers favor and makes this very refreshing. Excellent.

This is actually a fine pilsner, not surprising I guess, but I did not know it was Czech when I drank it. Good clear gold appearance with small thin head. Average mouth feel. Nose of malts and floral hops. Good Czech hoppy bitterness and a long clean bitter finish. Quite enjoyable for a low alcohol light Pilsner / lager.
