(bottle) pours a clear deep golden colour with a hint of copper and a frothy off-white head. aroma of honey, pineapple and banana, pale malts and light characteristic butterscotch. flavour is mostly the same, lots of raisins and buttery malts, with a light bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Draught @ Zly Casy. Darker golde than average, this strong lager wore a small white frothy head. This was by far my favourite lager above 14 Plato. In fact, this was pretty much the only one I really enjoyed, but the extent to which I enjoyed it was a fine surprise. Intensely malty it is. Almost caramelly and strongly bready, feeling just like a concentrated pils, but with no alcoho disturbance. Full-bodied and enormously bready all-throughout. Fresh, cerealic maltiness with a fair amount of toastiness quickly gets tamed by efficient spicy, herbal hops. Gets a bit more warming in the finish, moderately sweet, but hopped enough to bear it. An excellent offering that manages to follow the delicate balance between too sweet/alcoholic and lack of originality.

Bottle @ Pivovarsky Klub, Prague. Pours clear copper with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is bread and straw and a little alcohol. Flavor is fruit, caramel and straw. Medium bodied. Some alcohol and warmth in the finish. Seems strong and unrefined.

bottle - Pivovarsky Klub. Nice creamy head which dissipated quickly. I found it slightly bitter with regard to most strong lagers I’ve tried. Spicy sweet with a slightly tinny finish.

Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Citric grassy nose. Medium sweet and medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Slimmer than expected with good amounts of citric hops and long bitterness. Less sweet than most Czech lagers of this size, making it more attractive and drinkable.
