Formerly Lobkowicz Demon 13°.

Pivní speciál Démon byl připraven podle starých klášterních receptur mnichovské oblasti a navazuje tak na tradici, sahající až do roku 1420. Je charakteristický bohatým a vyváženým profilem chutí. Má příjemnou sladovou vůni a mírně nasládlou medovou chuť s jemnou hořkostí.

The beer is crystal clear honey brown with a half inch tan head. A pungent smell of skunk and yeast rise up from my glass and fill my nose, not a very good start for this beer. Roasted malts and a tomato juice taste are what I taste most, there’s a bitter flavor and for some reason I can taste cigarette smoke on my lips after every sip. This beer is way to thin and is overly carbonated, I belch after every couple of sips. Not a horrible beer but way bellow average in my opinion (BELCH!!!!).

500ml bottle from premiumczechbeers.co.uk. Clear orange-brown amber colour, foamy off-white head and aroma of caramel with malty, bready & nutty notes. Taste is sweetish caramel, malty, light roasted, with nutty & dark fruit hints and light bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, bittersweet finish. Very drinkable.

Rating #492, on tap @ Kroegers House

Appearance didn’t promise anything special with its reddish brown colour and small head. However, the aroma was quite delicate with caramel, spicy hops and some malts, but the best quality with this beer was definately the taste. A certain woody taste was obvious right from the start and throughout the beer, accompanied with caramel, spicy hops and a bit alcohol to underline the beer’s entire character. Finish was fine and pretty bitter with a hint of alcohol. Delicious! Soft and easily creamy palate. This was a very delicious beer and probably the best vienna so far!

(50cl bottle from SuperBest) Pours a clear amber with little, white head. Aroma of malt and bread. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation, watery texture and a short, bitter finish. The taste is lightly bitter with some sweetness. Okay but not particularly interesting. Girlfriend says: "It’s like drinking müesli."
