COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Lobkowicz Demon 13°.

Pivní speciál Démon byl připraven podle starých klášterních receptur mnichovské oblasti a navazuje tak na tradici, sahající až do roku 1420. Je charakteristický bohatým a vyváženým profilem chutí. Má příjemnou sladovou vůni a mírně nasládlou medovou chuť s jemnou hořkostí.

Bottle: Copper coloured, huge, stable off-white head; honey in the nose, sweet malt, too, supported by a good dash of noble aromatic hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft, gentle MF, light to medium bodied; lingering sweet-bitter finish, noble hops, again, in the aftertaste. A very well balanced pivo..........

Decent "half-dark". It is somewhat caramally but overall light and easy to drink.

500 ml bottle. Deep copper colour, thin white head. Nice sweet malty aroma, brown sugar, toffee, with the complexity that only a decoction can give you. Dark bready malt flavour, fairly sweet, light nuttiness and some caramel and toffee. Silky smooth and easy to drink.

The Lure:
An amber colour obviously for this polotmavé, with fast diminishing head and scarce lacing. Peppery hops pierce the dry malt husks, but fail to create any vigor and interest.

The Festivities:
Peppery caramel dominates the mostly malty average-sized body. A dryish grassy hop finish and light toastiness precede the peachy fruitiness. All is united in softness, nothing is wrong, but this is just boring.

Transcendence:
The demon’s gotten fat and complacent methinks.

Bottle. Amber brown body, with a small white head. Aroma of tangy caramel malt, light note of fusels. Sweet saccharine wisps. Flavour is dull, sweet generic European character. Tart toasty bite, lingering dry aftertaste. Fruity notes as it warms up with light notes of pilsener-esque European hops bitterness that seems out of place. Average palate. Not bad but not my cup of tea. Thanks JoeMcPhee.
