Formerly Lobkowicz Demon 13°.

Pivní speciál Démon byl připraven podle starých klášterních receptur mnichovské oblasti a navazuje tak na tradici, sahající až do roku 1420. Je charakteristický bohatým a vyváženým profilem chutí. Má příjemnou sladovou vůni a mírně nasládlou medovou chuť s jemnou hořkostí.

500 ml bottle. Deep copper colour, thin white head. Nice sweet malty aroma, brown sugar, toffee, with the complexity that only a decoction can give you. Dark bready malt flavour, fairly sweet, light nuttiness and some caramel and toffee. Silky smooth and easy to drink.

Bottle: Copper coloured, huge, stable off-white head; honey in the nose, sweet malt, too, supported by a good dash of noble aromatic hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft, gentle MF, light to medium bodied; lingering sweet-bitter finish, noble hops, again, in the aftertaste. A very well balanced pivo..........

Not much head on pouring, but nice amber color and very clear. Aroma not much, but the taste is very good. Not sweet, but not bitter either. I could drink several of these.

Tap at the Prague Beer Museum 1. Poured a clear medium to dark amber with a thin white head and some broken lace. The aroma is sweet caramel malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth malt woody caramel light hop palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Bronze and clear with a small head. Malty and a bit on the dry side. Flavour starts of quite strong but soon fades. Pleasant but after a good start fails to deliver.

Bottle. Courtesy of Sarky. Cheers Martin. Hazy, copper colour. Lots of bits. Film of lively, white head. Aromas of toffee. Nuts. Marzipan. Some fruity hop. Taste is light sweet. Soft, fruity bitter. Moderate body. Finishes light, nutty sweet, with a soft, fruity bitter close. Nice one.

Enjoyed a draft pint of this beer by the Vltava on the outskirts of Prague. The beer had a dark cloudy amber-brown appearance with an off-white head that had great retention, lacing, and cling. The aroma was a blend of grainy, earthy, and straw hops along with a touch of malt. The taste had some malty caramel tones, but also bitter and grainy mixture. It was a somewhat dry but full beer with a large mouthfeel and average carbonation.
