emerica56 (434), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Jul 17, 2008 Pours a clear amber color with a thick sudsy off white head. The nose is nice and bitter with sweet floral smell. As you drink it the flavor is very bitter with some caramelized malt and grapefruit hops. there is nothing too extravagant about this beer but it is refreshing and very palatable. thornecb (973), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jul 13, 2008 Pours amber into a shaker. White head recedes to hug rim. Caramel and citrus aromas. Mild grapefruit and caramel with a lasting resin finish. Thin. edmedina (9), Chesterfield, Virginia, USA does not count Jun 28, 2008 Poured a hazy amber color. I let it sit for a bit to warm up and color definitely can see through it but not really clearly. It pours with at least 3 fingers worth of head. The aroma is a sour citrus smell. It is mild but still there. Bitter taste almost a piney/citrus taste to it. I definitely don’t get anything sour in the taste. The mouth feel is dry. For a Pale Ale this very much fits the style. JF_GRIND (1199), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 23, 2008 A recent business trip had me in Lenox, MA with just enough time to buy a sixer of Green Monsta. C-hop, dark amber, easy on the palate 2XIPA. I too, was surprised at the high alcohol level. I don’t think this will be distributed in the Philadelphia area anytime soon, but if my path crossed with Green Monsta again I’d definitely drink it again. jimhilt (1356), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jun 2, 2008 Pours a four finger cream head that fades slowly and leaving some lace. Crystal clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Slight hoppy nose. Flavor starts sweet but hops kick in at mid point. Usual bitter, lingering finish for an IPA. $1.85 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.
