Draft. Rich golden body, small white head, good lacing. Nose of malts and orange and pine. Taste of malts and orange and pine as well ... no real surprise when mouth follows nose. Do I have a buttery finish? Do I have a blueberry attack at the start? A nice enough IPA, though not great.

Pours to a clear light amber with a small white head that quickly receedes to a small ring around the outside of the glass. The aroma is light corn, sweet malts, with some hints of bitter fruity hops in the background. Taste is corn syrup, grains, and light vegitable up front, then the hops come through more midway throught the beer - showing some dry pine, bark, dried grass, and a quick burst of citrus rind, showing plenty of bitterness. Light-medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes with some mild grassy bitter hops and sweet grains.

Bottle. Pours a shiny copper-coloured body with a frothy white head and sticky lace. The aroma has orange oil, yeast, sweet cookies, and bread. The flavour isn’t extraordinary by an means. Yeasty and bitter throughout with some metallic sweetness. Bitterness lingers on. A decent serviceable IPA. Purchased at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo on June 24, 2006.

Middle of the road IPA. Grassy/lemon aroma. Golden amber in color with a fluffy white head. Some buttery malts in the flavor and a desert dry finish.

Julios Spring Beer Festival. Aroma of feneel and potpourri. Pour of hazed deep golden, rimmed with whisith. Flavor is meak and lightly malty. Hops? They seem severly subdued, to me. A highly buttery malt follows, with copious diacetyl and plenty of biting sock penny resin. Finishes dry, but uninteresting.

JugOPunch (83) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - APR 6, 2006
12oz bottle: A golden orange pour with little head. An excellent aroma of orange, grapefruit and a slight hop residue. The aroma indicates a very malt based IPA. The flavor is citrus and a sharp hop undertone. Decent middle of the road body with a crisp mouthfeel. You won’t find the big hop punch in this IPA. But if taken on its own terms and without hop prejudice, this is a well crafted brew.

(12oz bottle, best by January (06?)) Crystal clear light amber body topped by medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/floral, some grapefruit, caramel, light tea. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, some caramel, light cereal/bread. Light/medium body, light resin, fairly drinkable. Medium bitterness, comes across more as an APA.

hopscotch (9113) - Indian River County, Florida, USA - OCT 8, 2005
Bottle… Misty, light amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is of black tea, butter and toffee. Moderate to heavy bitterness with notes of tea and clover honey. Medium-bodied and dry with fizzy carbonation. Finishes bone dry. Smells like an English IPA; tastes like an American IPA. Great, refreshing brew!

Poured from bottle while on vacation in CT. Nice golden color with a three finger yellow head and decent lacing. Not much nose, but not offensive. Slighltly heavier mouthfeel than one would expect for an IPA. A smooth caramely middle with a lightly hopped finish. Not overly bitter. I really liked this one, but it may be too sweet and not hoppy enough for tried and true IPAers.

Nice beer. Some sort of citrusy taste - I detected orange. My father-in-law said blueberry. Hops were there, but not overwhelming.
