citrussy, kinda one dimentional, not enough malt balance but the hops sure are a kick in the face, which we sometimes all need

12 ounce bottle received in a trade with Reagan1984 thanks! A-Golden orange with a 1 finger creamy white head with good retention and modest lacing. S- Sweet citrus and bready malt coupled with a mild floral hop in the nose T-Bread notes up front followed by floral hops and then a citrus zest wave that soon subsides. the hops are not aggressive in any way. this is definitely a traditional east coast usa ipa taste. Good thing for that citrus zest taste, without it this brew would be overpowered by sweet malt. M- Felt a bit thin probably due to a lack of carbonation and really dried out my mouth. D- Very drinkable because of how much it dries your mouth out and the mellow nature of the hops. This is an easy IPA to session with. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-13-2008

Stale hop flavors, with what tastes and smells almost exactly like the hops used included in my beginner Homebrew Kit. Huge lacing.

Dark amber pour with a light offwhite head. Aroma is lightly floral and some caramel malt. Light mouthfeel. Flavor is a bit bland, some light floral, grassy hop and a standard caramel malt backbone. NOthing to write home about

12 fl. oz bottle from C’s Farm Market, Oswego NY, served cold in a Scotch Irish taster glass.

App.: Hazy orange-amber with a decent white head. Aroma: Grapefruit and marmalade, a touch of infection, some crystal malt, caramel and brown sugar, Palate: Medium body and moderate effervescence. Flav.: Still a touch of infection, mainly C-hops and caramalt, a bit green, leafy, vegetal, resinous/dank, a little brown sugar; lightly sweet with decent bitterness and a malty/grapefruit finish.

A typical American-style IPA, I guess. Could be fresher.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear amber pour with a half inch of white foam. Aroma is very grassy and floral. Can definitely smell the Cascade. Flavor is bitter and floral at the start with a very mild citrus middle. Mainly dry and flowery hops. Some peppery bitterness coming through at the end with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Kind of average.

12 fl oz bottle, from Supreme Liquors, Cambridge MA. Slight chill haze. Tight but diminishing head. Decent condition but not too gassy. Plenty of citric hops with a good deal of bitterness, tending toward astringence. Also a modicum of biscuity malt. Not the biggest hitting IPA but extremely refreshing, quaffable stuff.

Cloudy golden yellow color. Lots of carbonation. Rocky light brown head; excellent head retention. Honey-colored. Actually looks downright excellent. The smell is flowery perfume hops. Hint of citrus (lime, orange). Roasted, dark caramel malts; dry and bready. Earthy. The taste is toffee and bready caramel malts on the front. Earthy like a sandbox. The hops come in at the end, and add a needed bitterness. Like an English IPA with extra woody, flowery hops. The feel is a great medium body. Smooth and buttery; lasting, but not intrusive. The hops in this beer are American, but the strong roasted malt balance puts this over the top.
