Ughsmash (2612), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Apr 30, 2008 Bottled. Poured hazy medium orange with a bunch of light sediment and a nice, sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweet caramel and grapefruit with faded pine and herbal hoppage.. sweet overall and inviting. The flavor was more like a red/amber ale with sweet, toasty caramel and faint impressions of light fruits.. bitterness was mild and primarily earthy with a little pine.. finished with a bit of raw alcohol and grainy grapefruit sweetness. Medium-bodied and sweet on the palate with some raw bitterness on the back.. this wasn’t bad, but I wonder if it was a little old (I haven’t had it for too long).. doesn’t seem as advertised.

A fizzy, off white excellent head is mostly lasting, with a sparkling body of amber, orange and red. lightly sweet, but heavily acidic and bitter. very sour, with a long duration. medium, dry, creamy fizzy mouthfeel. Astringent and alcoholic. What a wonderful beer.
