COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
LARRY was originally brewed this summer for the Publick House’s Hop Head Throwdown. David -- owner of the Publick House -- It was such a success in growlers here and at the Publick House, that we brewed another batch to go to speciality accounts. We’ll be putting it in 22’s in March 85 IBUs 5-hops (Simcoe, Magnum, Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook)

Bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar: Poured a dense golden honey liquid topped with fat foam cap of head on top. Aroma smells sweet with grainy bread like malts dominating my nose with only a minor pinch spiced hops. The drink taste empty with no real body other than some sweet syrupy malt extract like malts and soapy apple like taste of hops which doesn’t go over well with me. This is one of the worse Imperial IPA’s I have wasted money on.

Nice citrus/hoppy aroma. Golden straw color with lacing white head. Flavors are a bit subdued, but nicely balanced. Very drinkable, and alcohol is well hidden.

12 oz bottle from Candia Rd. Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a huge fluffy white head that shows moderate retention. Pine resin and grapefruit mixed with a bready caramel maltiness make up most of the aroma. Moderate hop bitterness with plenty of pine resin and citrus flavor. A bit sweet on the palette with lots of toffee and caramel and a hint of alcohol. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. A touch on the sweet side, but I could drink these.

Can. 11/23/13. Pours cloudy amber-gold with a very fluffy, dense, white head. Aroma is citrus, grass, dry, earthy, grassy, vegetable skin. Taste is complex, citrus, resin, fruity (dark berries, light fruits, complex), sweet, woody; finish is citrus fruit and some syrup. Drinks like a barleywine. Medium carbonation. Medium-thin mouth feel, not coating. Gorgeous, exquisite, dense lacing. Really nice. Overall, fantastic!

12 ounce can thanks to Brian that I almost didn’t realize I had until I wen to reuse the box! Big pillowy pour. Grapefruit and bitterness. Solid Double IPA. None of that super malty character many have.

Lukaduke (2362) - Portland, Maine, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Pours a orange golden color with two finger of sticky eggshell foam. The nose is pungent with notes of orange, pine, honeyed malts and grapefruit. The palate follows the nose with nice clean hop notes of citrus, pine and a long bitter grapefruit finish. Nice touch of sweet malt backs up the hop flavors but is full but not sticky. Nice !

12 oz can from BrewTopia in Keene, NH (great beer store). Nice and malty, which adds a bit of balance to the brew. Only moderately bitter for the style - pretty drinkable, actually. The is some caramel sweetness in the background which pairs well with the grapefruit notes up front.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 22 oz Bomber. The beer pours to an amber orange color with a medium white head. The aroma has citrus, stone fruit to it it. The Taste has a medium body with a slight bitter finish. Overall a good DIPA.

10/18/13. Shared by someone a Proof - thanks! Orange pour with a small khaki head. Nice aroma, lots of fruitiness, citrus, tropical, dank, pine, resin, and more. Nice flavor, good bitterness level, plenty of hop character, dank pine, resin, and more. Diggin’ this one!

Thanks to whoever brought this to Proof Friday night tasting. Solid IPA. Light golden pour, soft bubbly white head. Hoppy citrus and spruce in the aroma. Juicy grapefruit bitterness, a solid malty backbone. Thick enough mouthfeel.
