COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
LARRY was originally brewed this summer for the Publick House’s Hop Head Throwdown. David -- owner of the Publick House -- It was such a success in growlers here and at the Publick House, that we brewed another batch to go to speciality accounts. Dark golden, opaque pour with a medium off white frothy head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, and faint vanilla. Thick sticky mouthfeel, a brew that you can chew on. Lasting hoppy finish, but at the same time smooth and doesn’t overpower you with hops.

Poured slowly into snifter from 22oz bottle. Hazy orange with minimal lacing. Strong citrus on the nose but doesn’t follow through in taste. Very little balance, overly bitter.

Sharp pine and bitter grapefruit. Hazed orange, minor lacy head. Strong, bluntly bitter, some semisweet malt, not exactly layered. Overall a smooth, thicker drinker, but with a phenolic kick at the finish. Not a precision tool amongst beer of this ilk.

From tasting at the Brewery in Westminster. Both the original recipe and from their Nugget dry-hopped cask. I prefer the original I think. Pale clear orange, soft alc body. Ok imp IPA. Alright hop palate but nothing special or refined. Just a big beer.

Bottle poured a dark orange amber color with a one finger white head. Aroma has resins, sweet malt, some citrus rind, and some wet herbs. Mouth feel is hefty with medium low carbonation. Flavor brings a fair bit of bitterness, wet stringy hops, citrus rind, and plenty of sweet malt. Really thick and crushing with too much bitterness for my taste.

Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Smells of juicy fruit, grapefruit, melons, some underlying spiciness. Tastes of sweet citrus, melon, some peppery splashes with some phenolic notes on the finish. Bomber.

Well done. Pours orange / yellow with a creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet malts and floral hops with a touch of honey. Taste is mostly sweet, with an alcohol burn finish, which is a bit hot.

Bottle. Taste is grapefruit, pine needles and lemon peel, with a nice boozy finish.
