Ok. beerlord (215), tonawanda, New York, USA Jan 20, 2008 floral yeast aroma from an light ruby body with a white head. Malty flavor with some floral notes, this ws definatly made with an ale yeast. Need to be a cleaner beer to be called a Octoberest jgb9348 (1798), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Nov 25, 2007 Super clear coloured amber/orange coloured body with a very thin tan head. VERY funky aroma of nuts, eggs and more nuts...maybe some malt in there as well. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavours up front with nuts and a tiny bit of sugars near the end. Aftertaste shows more of the malt and nuts - nothing else really. Overall, a decent beer, a bit too nutty for me for the season, but not bad at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 25-November-2007. bu11zeye (3628), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 17, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a clear copper body with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, light spoiled vegetable (upfront), and then more toasted grain notes as it warms. Flavor of nuts, caramel, honey, and toasted malt. Lumpy (1530), Carrollton, Texas, USA Nov 15, 2007 Bottle. Nose-smells like hot garbage-rotten veggies and rotten fruit. Body-dark brown with a thin ring of bubbles. Taste-corn flakes, Alka-Seltzer, unsweet melon, wet cardboard, medium to high CO2, low sweetness, lots of nuts, little bit of must, lots of cereal. OK, but has a faint taste of rotten vegetables.
