mrant (330), New York, USA Sep 16, 2007 Smells strongly of sweet sticky malts and yeast. Pours a nice light golden color with a small head. Tastes is very mild and light with the sweet malts coming through along with some nice bitter hoppiness. A well balanced ale, not bad. Slipstream (734), USA Aug 28, 2007 Updated: Sep 20, 2007Bottle with uninteresting label. The color is a nice dark gold, and there is a light aroma of yeast and hops. It is smooth with some light fizzing, and I tasted mild hops, light grain, and a bit of malty sweetness. A little watery. This is a pretty unexciting, but perfectly drinkable, amber. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jun 26, 2007 Bottle (12oz). Clear copper-amber with a solid tightly foamy lasting light beige head (3+). Pretty decent roast malt aroma, fresh grain, dry and dusty floral hop bitterness - perhaps a tad light. The taste is quite juicy, cereal grain and citrus sharpness - excellent carbonation, light bodied, quick finishing, but crisp and quenching. Not too shabby. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA May 18, 2007 (bottle - 12 oz) Golden color with a thin white head. Decent carbonation. Aroma is a mixture of sweet malts, biscuits, and some light hops. Some smoke as well. Flavor is very complex. Starts with a smokey malt flavor mixed with some fruit, but then goes to a very smooth and malty middle with almost no aftertaste. Not bad at all, but a little confusing. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada May 15, 2007 A gold amber ale with a thin white head. A light biscuity malt with light diacetyl notes. In mouth, a dry malt with fruity esters, buttery notes. A flawed ale. Tap at 11th Annual CNY Brewfest, Feb.5 2007. JAF737300 (791), Tampa, Florida, USA May 13, 2007 Out of the bottle, it pours mid amber with a thin head. Aroma is a bit sweet with the hops coming through, somewhat fruity. The moutfeel offers a fruit flavor somewhat like citrus as the hops shows itself agasin and tails of with light bitterness....a very well crafted beer! ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Apr 28, 2007 tap: clear amber orange, decent at best retention. Aroma is caramel, toast, hint of grass and fruit. Light bodied with quite a bit of carbonation. A good thirst quencher, but little more. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Apr 6, 2007 On tap. Had this last weekend at the mountain. I’m sad that it was probably the end of the boarding season. Pours a clear redish amber with minimal white head. Aroma is lightly sweet. Taste is malty with fruit. A little bitterness in the end to round it out. Good session beer, especially after a day/night of boarding.
