Pours a two finger cream head that fades to a thin layer leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Malty nose. Didn’t realize this was a Scottish Ale more like a brown. Mellow sweetness, some spiciness. Very drinkable. $1.42 for a 12oz bottle from Valley Liquors Methuen, MA. Best by Mar 2007.

Taste has some malt sweetess with slight spices, very low hopped, low bitterness. Average mouthfeel and a sold medium body. A very nice beer from these brewers.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft in MA. Rich winter brew with great malting. Body is a bit too thin and the ’scotch’ isn’t too prominent. Ends too sweet and fruity.
