2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
nice amber/ orange colored ale with fast fading head. Aroma was caramel and vanilla. The taste took some effort to get but was some grassiness and pine. Almost reminded me of the smell of air in the fall with all the dieing leaves. Smooth texture

Decent, but an odd yeasty nuttiness kind of ruins the overall impression for me. Good solid maltiness, not much in the way of hops, and the aforementioned strange bready nuttiness. Bits of cherry and caramel taste. Overall an average winter offering, I think.

Dark, not quite black pour... Nose strong of caramel and alcohol. Taste is of the same. Too much of an alcohol taste for my liking, but not terrible.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle in pint glass from The Drinkery, Londonderry, NH. Aroma is bready, caramel, roasted cereal malt with a bit of fruit, yeasty dough and barnyard. Appearance is cloudy (lots of sediment floaters) brownish red with minimal beige head that dissipates fairly quickly and trace lacing. Taste is light-to-medium sweet up front and in the middle with some dry sour at the finish. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with average texture and lively carbonation. Overall, pleasant and highly drinkable but isn’t noteworthy in any way.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle courtesy of cousin, thanks Marshall!! Pours a ruby hued amber colour with a small tan head that disapates quickly to a slight ring on the glass. Nose of sweet malts, toasted malts, red fruits are also lingering in the background, cherry being the most distinguishable. Initial taste is loaded with toasted malts and sweet malts trying to make there way in. Mid palate of mild red fruits. Finishing with a touch bitter hops and mild earthiness & spices. Palate duration is short. Medium body. Not bad but nothing outstanding either.

Rather flat, chocolate scent, amber color
tast: notes of almond finished by orange peel, missing a significant hops component

Bottle. Malty toasted flavor with a sort of odd aftertaste that I couldn’t place. Ok but not great

Bottle. Hard pour, small head which quickly receeded. Nice amber color. Bit of sweetness in the taste. Little bitterness in the finish. Not a bad beer, just doesn’t stand out for me.
