Appearance: Mahogany brown with a tan head and a good sparkle.
Aroma: Boiled sweets, caramel and toffee. Light toastiness and earthy hops.
Flavour: Sweet and malty with an earthy hop flavour lingering buttery diacetyl character.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, smooth and clingy diacetyl.
Overall: Starts sweet and malty then finishes dry and woody with a earthy English hop characterand a buttery diacetyl character.

Sep 28, 2008 Reddish copper hue. Lots of fruit and sweetness. Plums and sultanas against abit of chewy grip. Respectable ale.

Sep 20, 2008 Amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is nicely malty with a sweet light caramel, toffee and a rich sweetness. A lovely spicy/earthy base. Quite a nice balance with a soft fruity finish. A touch of apple/pear esters and some lightly toasted malts. Lovely and rich. Spicy and fruity. Quite nice for a bottled bitter.

Sep 11, 2008 bottled. deep horse chestnut colour mldly off white head. Flavour is caramalised toffee with a sticky feel to the mouth. not an unpleasent beer but not sure i could drink a lot of it
