COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Ingredients: Pale malt, Crystal malt and cane sugar; Fuggles hops (85% of total) in the copper and Goldings hops (15%) on the hop back plates.
Wadworth have been brewing 6X in their Devizes brewery for over 80 years. This delightful copper-coloured beer has a malty, fruity nose with a restrained hop character. The same characteristics emerge on the palate but with more intensity, leading to a lingering malty finish. The beer is full bodied and distinctive but with a high drinkability, ensuring its position as one of the South of England's most requested beers.

On cask at the Atlanta Cask Fest. Pours a murky brown with a soft off-white head. Nose is malt, light fruit, and some mild hops. Flavor is similar with nice mild fruit, malt, and light hops. Enjoyable bitter from a cask.

Cask. Deep amber color, small white head. Brown bread and some toffee on the nose. Grainy. The taste is lightly sweet, a bit of wood and caramel. The finish is watery, not particularly bitter. The body’s medium but lopsided, the finish too light. Overall, not my favorite.

Dark for a bitter with a hard nutty flavour. Hops provide bitterness but little aroma or distinctive flavour. Medium-long finish. Not a beer I would like to drink every day but I do like a pint once in a while.

Pint at the Broad Street Tavern in Wokingham. Clear amber with very little head. Tastes bitter, hoppy and of sulphur. Easy to drink but not the best tasting. Indistinct light fruity aroma.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Pours a brown copper colour with a slight head. The aroma is all bread and malt, the taste is quite biscuit like with some bready warm malts and a dry bitter finish.
