COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Ingredients: Pale malt, Crystal malt and cane sugar; Fuggles hops (85% of total) in the copper and Goldings hops (15%) on the hop back plates.
Wadworth have been brewing 6X in their Devizes brewery for over 80 years. This delightful copper-coloured beer has a malty, fruity nose with a restrained hop character. The same characteristics emerge on the palate but with more intensity, leading to a lingering malty finish. The beer is full bodied and distinctive but with a high drinkability, ensuring its position as one of the South of England's most requested beers.

Cask@GBBF2011. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is wood, caramel, some fruits and mild wooden notes. Flavour is quite much the same with some nutty and malty notes.

Tasted 17/4/2013 draught "The George Inn", Sandy Lane, Wiltshire. Poured a clear honey brown with a thin bubble line for a head. Head retained OK but did not produce any real lace. Aroma-less. Taste was slightly bitter to start then increased on back of tongue. Light body. Moderately long bitter finish. OK.

Cask. Copper amber colour, thin white head and fruity yeasty aroma. Taste is caramel malt with fruity nutty notes and a light dry bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, low carbonation. OK bitter.

A regular cask bitter, not too high on bitterness and certainly a session ale. Copper coloured without a head.

On cask at JDW Market Drayton - Copper body with a nice white head. Aroma is not very powerful, but with enough effort you can just make out the fruity notes. Somewhat bitter taste and finishing with a pleasant bready taste at the end. Obviously, this is easy drinking, but, as others have said, this beer lacks any real complexity.

Cask at the Ship, Alveston. Sulphurous nose more like Pedigree than the 6X I remember. Sulphur and sweetish malt body, drying finish.
