3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask at The Farmersí Cabinet in Philadelphia, PA.
Pours a dark golden copper color with amber edges and a thin half finger white head that immediately disappears. †No lacing.
Slightly earthy aroma with delicate grassy hops countered by sweet and spicy malt notes. † Slightly spicy with caramel, rye toffee and hazelnut.
Medium body with very soft carbonation and a nice balance of subtle hops and sweet malt notes. †Minimal dryness and not too bitter with soily hops countered by spicy rye, sweet caramel, toffee, nut and light fruit. †Not terribly complex but well balanced and very quaffable.

Copper pour, thin, bubbly head. Malt, fruit aroma. Standard malty bitter, with some nutty character. The flavours arenít particularly deep... A bit of caramel sweetness in the finish. Gets the job done, but not a standout.

Tasted 17/4/2013 draught "The George Inn", Sandy Lane, Wiltshire. Poured a clear honey brown with a thin bubble line for a head. Head retained OK but did not produce any real lace. Aroma-less. Taste was slightly bitter to start then increased on back of tongue. Light body. Moderately long bitter finish. OK.
