Just malty with a hint of barrel. Not much more going on than that. Finished with light bitterness. Pours orange with OK head and lacing. Fizzy carbonation. Tap at Churchkey.

500 ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Clear ruby brown colour with thin trace of yeast sediments; One and a quarter finger head and crumpety light beige foam which last for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing and active carbonation; Quite fragrant and sweet aroma of ale malt, with toffee, caramel, chocolate, sugar, light dark fruit, light cherry, light musty, light yeast and faint grass; Light sweet of light ale malt, with light tartness, light metallic, very light red fruits, caramel, light chocolate, soggy light bread, thin lemon and very light grass; Light body, thin and slick palate; Mouth feel is watered-down English Strong Ale: light maltyness, right tartness, light fruitness, good notes of toffee and chocolates. Otherwise pretty watery and empty. Hmm… Hoppiness is faint grassy nose, light lemon and grass taste. Very low-fi bitterness for abrupt semi-finish; Slightly dry after taste, very easy to mouth.

Comments: For most parts, this one seems to conform the to the style - nice dark colour, good head and lacing, sweet fruity aroma - but its taste is like a very diluted ESA, thin, empty and unexciting. Good for a chug at a bar, but not worthy for sessioning. Nah!
