500ml bottle (BBD Jul 2013) drank on St George’s Day 2013. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home. Good amber body with a head that was both creamy in texture and colour. The nose was caramel sweet and so was the taste, it did however have a drier semi-hop finish to it. Body-depth was average; would have liked a bit more umph to be honest. I liked it: my sweet tooth is a sucker for caramel induced malty brews!

Orange with a small head.Fruity and slightly bitter. Quite pleasant but nothing inspiring. Think this is one of the breweries who in the past have produced some pleasant beers but are now reeling a bit from the onslaught of the new wave of craft breweries.

Bottle from B+M. Bronze finely lidded with white. Aroma of buttered rust, good shrub, touch of dung, peanut butter and sesame. Actually some really pleasant unfiltered German aspects. Marzipan and dough on the palate edged with phosphorus.

Bottled, 500ml from The Plough, Bodicote, Oxon. Orange gold with short lived head. Heavy caramel note, butterscotch, some sharp tinny notes, thinnish malty brew. Not over keen.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pale amber. A drinkable, caramel accented beer with moderate earthy hoppiness in the finish. A British bottled beer. Cleanly filtered, with few off notes. Unremarkable, but tasty enough and quite drinkable.
