Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Strawy hops with a hint of sulphury yeast. Biscuity malts with low level of caramelly flavour which contributes nicely. Not great but perfectly drinkable. Hops become more pronounced on the lasting finish with some zesty acidity.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Prince Bonaparte, W2. Dark brown bitter with a lively foam head. A very malty beer, earth, hay, cereal, dryish, a hint of fruit but more earth. Actually nicer than that sounds! Feels very regional English.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted 17/4/2013 draught "The George Inn", Lacock, Wiltshire. Poured a clear amber colour with a very thin line of bubbles as a head. Didnít lace. Aroma with a trace of malt, a bit of roasted grain and some mustiness. Taste of sweet malt followed by a slight bitterness. Light body, a bit watery. Finish was short smooth semi-sweet and with a bit of roasted grain. (For some reason not a popular drink in this pub).

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at The Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a dark copper colour with a broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is weak malt and a little stale. The flavour is medium to weak bitter, malty and with a smooth, slightly watery and a little metallic palate. Not a classic, but well drinkable.

Cask @ the Clarendon, Leicester. Caramel coloured bitter with thin creamy head. Aroma of cereal. Tastes of biscuit and ever so slightly orangey. Old fashioned bitter but really quite normal. Nothing very inspiring here.

Cask @ The Abbey Inn, Kinloss 020512
Light caramel brown, clear, thin tight white head, some lacing
Aroma - light toasted malts, caramel malts, hint of cocoa powder
Taste - light roasted malts, light cocoa, osft earthy malts, soft yeast...quite yeasty, fruity malts, some cereals, quite complex.
Palate - soft carb, medium body, dryish palate. Finish as main flavour, dry, cereal biscuity malt finish
Overall - This is the best beer Iíve had from Wadworth. Itís a good traditional English bitter.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask, gravity dispensed, at the beer festival at the Marlow Donkey, Marlow, Bucks. Clear golden amber with thin cream head; fruity aroma with a whiff of sulphur and some underlying roasted malts; rather thinly bodied, but soft and fruity in the mouth with orange and blackcurrants; then a long dry smooth finish. Unfortunately, rather uninspiring overall.
