COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Seasonal;
We salute 100 years of naval aviation with this unique beer. Developed by Wadworth with the addition of Pussers Rum from the British Virgin Islands, the original Admiralty rum ration issued daily to the sailors of the British Navy since 1665. With a gentle rum aroma and dark, unrefined sugar adding a rich smoothness, it is a full-bodied, deep copper coloured ale with a base of crystal malt and delicate Fuggles and Goldings hops.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is a bit eggy, rather wooden and herbal with some slight nutty and sweet malty notes. Flavour is fruity, herbal, caramelly and mildly biscuity with some slight cookies and floral hoppyness. Ends quite citrusy and floral. Also has some mild applelike notes in the finish.

Rum extracts make this a very pleasant special brew, and a sweet tasting one.

Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield. Copper colour, faint aroma of caramel and skunky resin. Sweet, metallic flavour with more sweetness and a lingering strange aftertaste.
