4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Corked bottle from the meadery shop in 2010
Hazy golden color. Average aroma of mead and alcohol, some sweetness comes through, mild honey. Sweet mouthfeel, with a liquor feeling, strong honey flavor, Demerara sugar, fruits, quite complex; caramelly, with indeed some Porto wine qualities that balance it perfectly.
Excellent mead, the best (and rarest) from P. Wagner.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Almost clear deep golden. Floral nose with sugar and pepper. Very sweet with full body and viscous mouthfeel. Viola and sugar, lots of alcohol. Syrupy finish. Intense, but too sweet - even in small quantities.
