Aroma of sweet dark caramel with a touch of maple and earthy hops. Starts with nice full caramely sweetness and some slightly doughy chocolate and chestnut flavor. A nicely-balanced and interesting porter.

On draft. Pours very dark and think black with medium tan head. Aroma of malt, maple, chocolate, slight vanilla. Tastes malty, with some maple, chocolate, slight coffee, and vanilla hints at the end. Very nice.

Pours a dark caramel brown with an aroma of maple syrup, molasses, and smoke. Flavor is sweet up front with maple syrup, caramel, molasses, and smoke roasted malt ending.

On draft at the brewery. Reminds me of Saranac caramel porter. The predominate flavor is the maple syrup that has been added, but that is okay with me. Good fall beer, when you don’t mind a bit more sweetness. Enjoyable.

Pours a dark brown with thin brown head. Smell is coffee, chocolate, with a hint of licorice. Smooth flavor, but a heavy beer.
