500 ml bottle courtesy of a trade with cgarvieuk. Pours black with a moderate, creamy, off-white head that lasted through the first third of the glass and left partial lace. Very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and some coffee as well. The flavor is mostly dominated by roasted, almost burnt, malt along with some very mild coffee and chocolate. Becomes very dry, not quite chalky, which seems to truncate the flavor just a bit. Dry, bitter finish, with the dryness lingering for about ten seconds beyond the swallow. Thanks, Craig!

Bottle - Black body with a brown edge, big bubbled beige head; Super balanced big mellow nose, deep and complex; Very thin body, texture is like a pilsner with more sweetness and only a little bitterness; Tons of aroma in finish that again has a Pilsner texture, quite bitter, fruity fresh. Very very special.

500ml bottle - gift from Fin - thanks!
Shared with our host in Copenhagen, a closet beer nerd who really appreciated the chance to taste some English ales, so thanks from him as well!
Black, beige head. Burnt stout aroma. Drying bitterness in the mouth, but also quite refreshing. Burntness dominates the finish.
