2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 JoeMcPhee (7622) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2005
Very pale golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is of orange and faint coriander with a bit of light spice as well. Flavour is well-rounded, starts off with a slightly sweet wheaty backbone, before the palate is taken over by orange citrus and light coriander near the finish. Nice wit-style brew, but is a bit watery.

looked and tasted more like a kristal. some strange but okay lime flavour in there. drinkable enough but a bit thin
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 21, 2008
Bottle (though I think it is called Wharf Rd Wheat Beer now),pouring a slightly hazy organge with no head. Looks alarmingly like a glass of fanta. A typical wheat beer aroma, banana sweetness with a touch of orange and cloves. Carbonated and tart in the mouth, helping to disguise the sweetness. Flavours are quite subdued as well, which makes for a mellow and easy to drink wheat beer. Better than most of this style. Got an additional appearance mark (it neededit) for the cool bottle.

Bottle. Pours golden with a smallish hear. Not a good sign for the style. Wheat, citrus, clove and lemon. Thin bodied and a somewhat watery palate. Low carbonation.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 eczematic (1304) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - APR 27, 2004
very clear yellow (strangely they boast about the cloudiness on the label). bready, light, over-clean, wheaty acidity and fruity hops combining surprisingly well in the finish. not bad, drinkable, but kind of watery. for a brewery that cold-conditions all their beers it seems a bit weird they don't make a lager. all their beers are somewhere in between ale and lager, easy drinkin, smooth but forgettable (exactly the way winesnobs like their beers - no coincidence they're brewed at a winery).

330ml skittle-shaped bottle. Hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Bread, malt, bananas and cloves on the nose with a pleasant medium sweet taste and low bitterness. Disappointing watery palate however.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bozoNZ (715) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - APR 23, 2008
330ml bottle - Bright clear golden but a disappointing lack of head of cloudiness? Slight bubblegum aromas with faint spices and almost a grassy hint. Nice flavours typical soft bana and spices with a subtle wheat sweetness. Nothing dominates but it’s all in there. Unfortunately the eyes tell you that this lacks some body - that aside it’s a nice drop.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 BarossaLuke (498) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 8, 2009
Hazy, starw colour. Good wheaty aroma with some slight sour notes that I like in a wheat beer. I get some good ester characters too, not toostrong but all in balance. Palate is medium with sourness and wheat flavour, refreshing and well balanced. Overall a nice beer.
