2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle picked up from Waitrose, Witney, 29-07-06. Copper coloured beer that had a large white head. Aroma was a little strange it’s bizarre that this is organic coz’ I felt that if anything the aroma was a bit chemically. Fairly uninspiring in the taste dept’ some maltyiness and low levels of bitterness, just a bit to safe really.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Subtitled: The Green Man Ale. 500 ml bottle. Light copper color. Decent white head. Light hop and malt aromas. Rather biscuit flavor with a slightly citrus bitter. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Mild overall, but a decent ale which finishes with a respectable amount of floral bitter.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle thanks to father. Aroma is caramel and biscuity, floural hop, but minimal. Taste is similar, over carbonated and you can really taste the pasturisation.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml bottle from Waitrose. Gold with a large loose off-white head; caramel aroma; malty with some fruit but little bitterness; leaving a sticky unappealling finish. There are much better organic ales than this.

1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Really, really unpleasant ale that is blatantly made by someone who cares about ’organic’ products, but has no knowledge about, or interest in, beer. It tastes disgusting and lingers unpleasantly (after a deceptively ok cereal malt nose).

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Golden with a rocky off-white head. Aromas are traces of lemon with prickly pepper and lots of metal. Flavours are also metallic with stale biscuit and an unpleasant chemical grapefruit bitterness. Too much carbonation, very bloating. Not a good advert for organic beer.
