Bottled. A light yellow perry. The aroma has notes of soap and pears. The flavor is sweet with notes of rotten pears, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Vintage 2010. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head. Very odd artificial aroma. Medium body, a little sweetness and then these odd fruity accents that don’t appear like anything else really - and certainly not pears. Chemical finish. 230212

500ml bottle from Waitrose of all places, looks like a glass of white wine. (Light carbonation). Sweetshop aroma with a tiny hint of oak, and a mainly bubblegum flavour. Robust alcohol kick. I was pleasantly suprised by this.

Brought across the pond and shared by a friend. Poured a deep clear golden color. Still so no head. Smells of non descript pomme fruit with just a hint of sulfur that was gone before my second sip. Smell is fruity sweet with barely a touch of oak. If the label hadn’t said perry I’m not sure I wouldn’t have mistaken this for a cider. Taste is smooth and sweet. More apple than pear flavor with hints of vanilla and oak. Medium to thin body, Still, with a sweet fruity mouthfeel. This is my first perry, I was kind of expecting something different. I thought this was fairly tasty, although it seemed a bit boring. The oak was barely there and I’d heard perry would have a bit of tartness. Malolactic fermentation?

Bottle, 500ml. A pale straw colour, no carbonation. A light pear aroma. Plenty of pear in the flavour with some hints of spice, I’d say medium-sweet. Very refreshing and drinkable, with a slight warming quality to it. Personally I like my perry offensively strong, both in flavour and alcohol content, with a good kick of sourness, which this doesn’t deliver. But this is an easy-drinking perry intended to appeal to the mass market, which it does well and I’d certainly buy it again. Was surprised to see that it was 8% actually, as it doesn’t strike me as being that strong.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a few bubbles. Slightly dank, funky aroma with plenty of pears. Very sweet, with some dirty mustiness and strong booze notes. Light to medium in body with fine, fizzy carbonation and some warmth. Finish is quite sweet, lightly dry and dank. Not bad overall.

Pale yellow in colour with slight carbonation. Light, slightly tart pear aroma with a hint of wood. Flavour began with some sweetish pear juice, followed by a hint of spice, oak and dryish finish. Ok.

Bottle, from Waitrose Hull. Pale gold, no head and moderate condition. Gentle citrus fruity, almost grapefruit nose, quite dry in the mouth with gentle fruitiness, short dry fruity finish with hints of boiled sweets and warming retronasal alcohol.
